the youngest of three siblings, michael always had an active imagination. he loved comics, art, superheroes and music. only what his parents and siblings thought was an active imagination was in fact the youngest riddle chatting excitedly with spirits of the dead. his imaginary friends weren't quite so imaginary. it was only when people told him he was too old for imaginary friends did he stop talking to them - not wanting to draw attention to himself. even though he was still seeing his 'friends' - it wasn't normal, was it?
still an aspiring artist, with a keen interest in comics remaining - he studies art while working on comics in his spare time. his comics focus on the supernatural and his art often features the ghosts that he's grown up with or ones he see. he doesn't talk to the ghosts so much now - only in private.
but the ghosts still visit him. they always visit. and even now he knows they aren't just imaginary, he knows what they are, believes in what they are - he doesn't really know what to do with that. so he keeps it to himself. he'd rather be seen as an eccentric artist than a madman that speaks to the dead.
